ISO 22000 certificate for Gala factory
As a company that is committed to creating and delivering value to our customers, uac foods decided to implement a system (Food Safety Management System - ISO 22000:2005) that will continually guarantee Food Safety, reposition us as a leader in our chosen market (Snacks Category) and provide opportunity for international trade.
The application for the ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management System certification was filed to Standards Organization of Nigeria and a Pre-assessment Audit was done in the month of September. The main Audit was done in November 2007, with a follow-up Audit in December, 2007.
The issuing body, ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world's largest developer and publisher of International Standards, with a network of the national standards institutes of 157 countries.
With the bagging of the ISO 22000:2005, uac foods Gala Factory have been certified to prevent the introduction of any food borne hazard that could contaminate the production processes and make food products unsafe for human consumption. |
